Mark ponders the world of Lovemarks

Mark Cochrane is VP Management Supervisor on Olay at SaatchiNY. He comes to Hudson/Houston by way of Saatchi London, where he was last working as an Account Director. If you’re interested in more info on Mark, be sure to check out his LinkedIn page. It’s a thoroughly informative read.

WHAT DO YOU DO AT SAATCHI & SAATCHI?
Bits n’ bobs – part time organizer, dictator, mediator, therapist….

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?
Paperboy. After being bitten by various dogs I later jumped at the opportunity to collect wayward trolleys (shopping carts) in a supermarket car park. I would stack roughly 20 trolleys together like a train and maneuver them through the busy car park. A feat I’m very proud of to this day.

WHAT LED YOU ON THE PATH YOU’RE ON TODAY?
A.D.D……hence short sharp entertaining adverts always had me mesmerized.

IF YOU WEREN’T IN ADVERTISING, WHAT CAREER WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO TRY?
Video game community manager.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE YOUTUBE VIDEO?
Way too many to mention. But I will. J

TELL US SOMETHING SURPRISING ABOUT YOURSELF:
I’m obsessed with a video game called Street Fighter. I have tickets to watch the World Championships in Las Vegas in July. Yes, I’m a nerd…..but nerds are cool right?….anyone???

WHAT ARE YOUR LOVEMARKS?
Xbox Live, Dyson Hand Dryers (hand dryers that work!), Apple, Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate. Netflix Instant Watch

FAVORITE CHILDHOOD TELEVISION PROGRAM?
Ulysses:

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CREATIVE PURSUIT?
Acting.

BOOK THAT YOU’RE CURRENTLY READING?
The 7 habits of successful people (I’m hoping to master at least one!).

A GUILTY PLEASURE FOR ME IS:
The website FML.

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE GREATEST INVENTION IS IN YOUR LIFETIME AND WHY?
The Internet. I’m sure I don’t need to explain why…
