As bummed as we are to lose the occasional employee, it’s always nice to see former Saatchi New Yorkers that are doing something really awesome with their talents post-agency life. Such is the story brought to our attention yesterday by Claudine Cheever, who points us to former planner Shel Kimen’s Detroit-based project Collision Works.
One part hotel, one part co-working community and one part performance space, Shel’s role as founder and “captain” of the innovative motor city venture is something to definitely keep an eye on. Be sure to follow the above link to read all about what they’re aiming to do with the space, what inspiration their drawing from and what the project could mean for Detroit in the long run. Keep up the good work Shel!
